Welcome Message
It is our great pleasure to host the Third International Symposium on Multiscale Multiphase Process Engineering (MMPE), to be held in Toyama, Japan on 8–11 May 2017.
The International Symposium on MMPE is held triennially and alternatively in Japan and Germany. The First International Symposium on MMPE was held in Kanazawa, Japan while the Second International Symposium on MMPE was held in Hamburg, Germany. More than 100 participants were invited to each of these symposiums from not only Germany and Japan but also other countries; we have made much progress as a community in this friendly atmosphere.
Remarkable progress has been made in nanotechnology, micro process engineering, micro-dispersion engineering, numerical simulation and measurement techniques, providing deep insight into an undiscovered world of multiscale phenomena. To discuss the tremendous effects of multiscale phenomena in multiphase process engineering, researchers have come together from around the world. The submission of the original works on modern nano-, micro- and macro-scale aspects of multiphase process engineering and related topics is expected. The papers will provide research rationale, methodology, results and major conclusions. Applied papers from industries engaged in multiscale phenomena of the multiphase process that meet strong scientific needs are welcome.
The MMPE promotes the proposal of international research projects and encourages young scientists and students to elucidate the phenomena of multi-scale and multi-phase processes. We sincerely welcome participants from all countries and with a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds.
We are looking forward to welcoming you all in Toyama.
